How is Technology Affecting Us
How is Technology Affecting Us?
By: Alzahraa Alrubaiey
In today’s world, technology is everywhere. During the average day we are always on multiple digital devices and screens, like cell phones, tablets, computers, and television screens. Today that is how people live their lives, by screens and technology. A lot of people use their phones and technology a lot, but they never realize how effective it is to the eyes. Using technology in the dark can cause a serious damage to the eyes. Some people go blind when they use technology in the dark. When the eyes get so much light, they get tire just like us. These electronics damage your eyes because all levels of radiation from computer screens are below levels that can cause eye damage such as cataracts.
Have you ever had a headache and you never realize where it came from and you used technology for almost 10 hours a day? One of the most common negative effects of using screens on your eyes to digital devices and screens are headaches. This is due to the connection between the eyes and the brain. When you stare at a screen for an extended period, eyestrain can occur and lead to a painful tension headache. It also can affect the way we interact with people and communicate.
Using devices for a long time very long time can cause tiredness, vision problems, and social isolation. I feel like now these devices are taking our lives, we spend more time using our devices then spending time with family and thinking about other things in our lives. People might feel isolated because of it. People get affected by social media, people get bullied through social media. I feel like a lot of people are being affected by social media. Because we cannot trust anyone that we never even met.
I feel like in the future these devices are going to grow and the rate of people who wear glasses and go blind will increase. If we keep going like this everything in our lives in the future will be mad technology and devices. It would be a huge change. The future that we are going to have might be affected by devices because at least now we use them to do everything in our lives. I feel like our lives depends on them when it does not. I knew that sometimes we need them for important things, but a lot of people use social media and the social media will grow bigger as life goes on.
