Do Women See More Than Men?

         Most of us take for granted being able to see everyday. Not only being able to register crisp and clear images, but also we can see them in color. Color is the frequency of the electromagnetic waves that are hitting an area. Colors that we can see are light frequencies that fall into the category of visible light. The highest frequency in visible light is  around 700, which we see as purple. The lowest frequency of visible light is 200, which we see as red.

        Warmer colors are associated with lower wavelengths because that is where they fall on a scale of the wave frequency to color that we perceive. On average, it takes a longer wavelength of a color for a man to perceive the same deep shade that a woman can normally see. This is most likely because in ancient time men were the hunters and needed to  be adept at seeing movement. But Females were more often the gatherers, they would need to have very good shade perception to
