How Do Microwaves Affect the Body?

We use microwaves on a daily base to cook an reheat food but can this common appliance have a negative health effect. A microwave does as it says and uses microwaves to cook food by “polar or electrically asymmetric molecules like water in food to rotate. This rotation produces thermal energy (aka heat) which then can quickly and nearly uniformly heat the food.

However, does this have a negative effect on the user's health? Well, microwaves can “Microwaves can produce effects on your body instantly due to the 2.4 GHz radiation — the frequency of radiation emitted by microwave ovens. A study conducted by Dr. Magda Havas of Trent University found the levels of radiation emitted by a microwave affect both heart rate and heart rate variability.” This is just one of the ways microwaves can affect the body.

To Conclude, the microwave may seem like a simple appliance to heat food, but there is a possibility that it can damage the body. However, this is not fully proven and it is most likely it doesn't happen to you its better safe than sorry.

I think that from here the microwave can be further developed and modified for safety precautions so that it is completely safe to use.
