Isaac Newton

Mr. sir Isaac newton, was born on December 25, 1642 in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire England His father dies before he was born and he was only three when his mother (Hannah Newton) remarried and moved away. Therefore he was raised by an uncle. He attended school at Cambridge university in 1661. He received his Masters in Arts in 1665. From there he remained at the university, lecturing students in most years until 1696. When Newton attend and lectured at Cambridge he was that the height of his creative power. He singled out 1665-1666 as “the prime of my age for invention”. Isaac was elected as a member of Parliament for the university of Cambridge. Meanwhile in 1696 he moved to London. Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, theologian and chemist. Isaac Newton was the peak or prominent figure of the scientific revolution in the 17th century. According to Sparknotes, Meanwhile, in the turbulent year of 1666, while England fought with Holland and suffered plague and a terrible fire in London, Newton made three of his greatest discoveries. In the field of optics, the study of light, he developed and proved his theory that white light is composed of a mixture of other colors of light, which, when split apart by a prism, form a band of color called a spectrum”. Newton’s Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy, 1687) was one of the most important single works in the history of modern science.

Newton has several accomplishments and discoveries throughout his life.Yes you probably know him as the guy best known for his work on gravity but he also discovered many other “scientific wonders” that we do just not know as well. Besides all gravity stuff he developed Three Laws of Motion. These form some of the most basic principles of modern physics. His first Law states that every object will remain at rest unless compelled to change its rest stage by an external force. His second Law explains how velocity of an object changes when it is subjected to an external force. His third Law says that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Also his discovery of calculus led the way to more powerful and efficient ways of solving mathematical equations. He formulated the the laws of motion and universal gravitation, that formed the dominant scientific viewpoint until it was finally superseded by the theory or relativity. Newton built his first reflecting telescope. He also developed a knowledgeable theory of color based on the observation that a glass prism separates white light into different colors, or is basic terms he discovered the color spectrum. It was his first studies/ experiments of light that first made him famous.

“ Credited as one of the great minds of the Scientific Revolution, Newton's 17th-century findings have molded our modern world”.

Newton and his several discoveries and accomplishments have already helped us tremendously so far. His contributions to our world have helped usher our Scientific Revolution. Newton created the first modern telescope, helped develop spectral analysis and his Laws of Motion laid the groundwork for classical mechanics, and created the law of universal gravitation and calculus. Each and everyone has helped figure out several scientific theories and have helped us make serious progress in discovering new elements of science that we might have not been as familiar with as we are today. Newton’s accomplishments will continue to help us advance and discover new things about science and astronomy. These will also help us widen our knowledge on subjects that we are still in the process of finding and learning more about.
