New Form Of Matter

Researchers and Scientists at the University of Illinois have discovered an all new form of matter they named "Excitonium." This all new material is made up of boson, which is a composite particle that allows this form of matter to act as a fluid or conductor. Even an insulating crystal (electronic).
The team, lead by a physics professor named Peter Abbamonte, with the help of fellow scientists at the universities of California, Berkeley, and Amsterdam worked together to find this new form of matter. Surprisingly, this all new form of matter was theorized over 50 years ago. There have been multiple experiments in the past on this research, but has never been fully discovered.

This new material is not only made of boson, but also made of excitons. Excitons are formed when electrons are mixed with "holes" left behind. These quantum particles are combined using semiconductors. In these semiconductors, the particles, when excited (charged) are able to jump to another energy level. When doing so, they leave behind a "hole." This "hole" acts as a positive-charged particle while the particles that jump energy levels act as the negative-charged particles.
This experiment and discovery can lead to so much possible research. Already, this experiment has helped scientists discover new particles at levels they never thought possible. Using this research can also help to create new technology to assist in future operations/experiments.
