             How does a compass work?

If you're lost in the forest, your best chance of finding your way might be a tiny magnet. Compass are very helpful, most of the time in the forest when you lost.

A compass needle aligns itself and points toward the top of Earth's magnetic field, giving explorers and lost souls a consistent sense of direction.

A compass points north because all magnets have two poles , a north pole and a south pole, and the north pole of one magnet is attracted to the south pole of another magnet. Such as you may have seen refrigerator magnets pushed end to end. Compasses are mainly used in navigation to find direction on the earth. This works because the Earth itself has a magnetic field which is similar to that of a bar magnet

A magnet is what makes a compass point north the small magnetic pin in a compass is suspended so that it can spin freely inside its casing and respond to our planet's magnetism. The Earth is a magnet that can interact with other magnets in the way, so the north end of a compass magnet is drawn to align with the Earth's magnetic field because of the earth magnetic North Pole attract the north end of other side of magnet.

The next step will be that compass will be more faster, fun easier and the magnet between compass will be might be different/ same/interesting and different features.
