Electric Generators
What is an electric generator?
An electric generator is a machine that converts one form of energy into another, especially mechanical energy into electrical energy, as a dynamo, or electrical energy into, as an acoustic generator. Nearly all generators are used to supply electric power. The mechanical power for an electric generator is usually obtained from a rotating shaft and is equal to the shaft torque multiplied by the rotational, or angular, velocity.

What are electric generators used for?
Normally the term generator is used to describe an alternator, which creates AC power using electromagnetism. Generators, Dynamos, and Batteries are the three tools necessary to create or store reasonable amounts of electricity for human use. Batteries have been around for a long time, or at least according to history. Batteries may have been discovered as early as 248 BC according to (Edison Tech Center). When batteries are being used it is a constant chemical reaction causing the battery to make and store electricity

What is next for electric generators?
In the "future"generators should be made out of flexible material. The material should be flexibility because that more flexible an object the easier it is to install in tough places. For example, TEG's (thermoelectric generators) are most commonly made form inorganic semiconductors which is a semiconductor made from a non-carbon based material such as silicon, gallium or arsenide.
